Recently Hrithik Roshan got to visit Nanavathi Hospital which is a place where children with impairments are treated. Hrithik was invited to visit the hospital and to speak with the children to make them feel better. The moment Hrithik entered the hospital he turned quite emotional recalling his past days.

Hrithik in his childhood suffered from speech impairment and could hardly speak a few words without stammering. It was in this very hospital he was treated at the age of 14 which could finally make Hrithik speak like everyone else. Hrithik has met the Doctor who treated him in those days and turned emotional on seeing his doctor.

He recalled how he felt when he was not able to speak like other children and said that it is not an easy task to be the odd one out. “Children with impairments are called ’special children’, but we knew that we were special in a different way”,  said Hrithik.

He then donated 20 million rupees to this hospital in the name of his grand mother Ira Roshan and now on the Department which handles children will be named after her.
